A project once touted by developers as being "an iconic addition to the Midtown skyline" before it was actually unveiled could break ground as early as December. Cousins Properties has filed for permits to build the 22-story headquarters of NCR Corporation — called "Spring @ 8" — between Spring Street and The Connector in Midtown, bringing 533,000 square feet of offices and 1,000 parking spaces to the booming corridor, Bisnow reports. Beyond the squatty icon, the project should inject life into Spring Street by way of a plaza with a bocce court, oversized chessboard and "decorative Ping-Pong table."
