Unbeknownst to many Atlantans, the PATH Foundation completed the first phase of the Beltline's Northside Spur Trail just north of Collier Road early last summer. The extension connects the Northside Trail to the Bitsy Grant Tennis Center and Northside Drive. Phases II and III will take the link onward to Peachtree Battle Road, incorporating a new Northside Drive bridge being planned by the Georgia Department of Transportation. For those who haven't been — or those who want to relive the peaceful experience — have a gander at the photos after the jump. And for other photographic explorations of unfinished or often-overlooked Beltline sections, take a trip to the full Northside Trail here, the piece that will join Midtown with Lindbergh and Buckhead here, and last but not least, the ghostly but promising Southeast Trail here. Happy trails.
