Cities can be noisy — it's part of what makes them interesting. But for sufferers of noise overload — or anyone who wants to check the noisiness of some place before moving in — there's now an index that quantifies just how loud things are at any location in Atlanta! The interactive map, developed by RentLingo, is perfect for prospective renters and buyers to check out possible noise-creating items wherever they're considering living. While the metrics may be imperfect (last we checked, MARTA doesn't really make that much noise at street level from 120 feet below Peachtree Center), it's a good tool for scoping things out. No word if they account for mysterious noises like the those that plagued the Westside last year.
