New RealtyTrac findings should make sense to potential homebuyers in Atlanta who feel as if they're running a race and all the houses are Usain Bolt. The Big Peach lags only San Francisco when it comes to disparities between wage growth and rising home prices, according a RealtyTrac analysis reported by Atlanta Agent Magazine. Home prices have risen beyond wages in all of metro Atlanta's six largest counties, with DeKalb County seeing the largest disparity of all — a jaw-dropping 20-percent spike in average home prices (between early 2014 and the first quarter of this year), versus a paltry 1-percent uptick in wages.
