A seven-story stack of "premium lofts" is in the works two blocks south of the Fox Theatre and across Peachtree Street from Emory University Hospital Midtown. Developers have filed plans for a $4 million mixed-use conversion of commercial buildings from the 1890s and a mid-century residential tower at the corner of Peachtree and Linden Avenue, What Now Atlanta reports. The project, dubbed "The Byron," will include street-level spaces for retail and restaurants between 1,500 and 3,500 square feet. It's unclear if these primo lofts will be for sale or rent, but plans call for units between 1,100 to 1,600 square feet — and one spiffy, spiky paint job on the north-facing wall.
