Analysis: Atlanta Rent Hikes Still Hot as Weather Chills

New, 4 comments

Zumper's latest quarterly rent map could bring sour news for Atlanta apartment dwellers not expecting a Christmas bonus. Real estate analysts calculated median rents for one-bedroom units in 77 neighborhoods across Atlanta, finding that monthly dues had climbed another 2.4 percent in October, for a median of $1,290. (That makes ATL the 15th most expensive rental market in the USA). Peachtree Heights West earns the dubious crown of Atlanta's most expensive 'hood for one-bedroom dwellers. Other findings of note: It's generally cheaper to rent in Midtown than Inman Park now (median: $1,540). And Candler Park looks like a below-average bargain with median rents of $1,000, on par with Vine City and cheaper than South Downtown.
