Twin Projects Could Bring Big Changes to Buckhead Street

New, 8 comments

The neighborhood around Buckhead Atlanta is pretty much becoming one big construction site. BuckheadView reports that The Loudermilk Companies is planning to break ground on two developments in Buckhead Village in the very near future. The first will house a five-story medical office at 371 West Paces Ferry Road. Down the street, 359 East Paces Ferry will stand 12 stories and contain 80,000 square feet of office space above street-front retail and a parking deck. Designed by architects Rule Joy Trammell Rubio, the second project is a stone's throw from the recently announced loft-office conversion project slated to transform the 1960s Aaron's headquarters building.

Since the opening of OliverMcMillan's Buckhead Atlanta late last year, Buckhead Village has seen a massive spike in development. The two latest Loudermilk projects represent just a tiny segment of the redevelopment going on in the area, much of it led by the Loudermilk and Hanover companies. With apartments, offices and retail rising, Buckhead Village is transforming from a place characterized by low-slung strip centers and parking lots to high-rises and luminary.
