Like a glitzy ode to luxury-brand worship, Phipps Plaza's modernized new façade is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2015, continuing a wave of significant changes in and around the Buckhead property. In a press release, Simon officials elaborated today on what exactly the fanciful façade will be, while insisting that Phipps remains "the Southeast's top luxury shopping destination." This new Peachtree Road-facing entrance will feature a backlit, glass-curtain wall and intricate, perforated metal panels highlighting luxury brands from Phipps' roster, to include Jeffrey, Versace, Tiffany & Co., Giorgio Armani, BOSS Hugo Boss, Bottega Veneta and Verizon (kidding). Officials say the changes "will create a dynamic gateway to the property both day and night."
