First Look: Old Fourth Ward's Next Chunk of Townhomes

New, 26 comments

A few blocks south of Edgewood Avenue, between downtown and Boulevard, this four-unit townhome project billed as "ultra-chic" continues the trend of semi-detached proposals in the Old Fourth Ward. "The Edge on Lucy Street," as they're calling it, will offer "sweeping views of downtown and Midtown skylines from each of (four) levels of living space," with rooftop decks, fenced courtyards, two-car garages and the option to add something called "dipping pool upgrades," the broker babble promises. Listed at $615,900, this particular unit spans 2,733 square feet, with four bedrooms, four and ½ bathrooms and a few severely exaggerated renderings. After a couple of stints on the market, the bare lot ended up selling in July for $409,000.
