When last we saw this 1970 contemporary in late 2013, it was dodging the wrecking ball. Fortunately, an insightful buyer recognized the promise in the unique Sandy Springs four-bedroom in the woods and saved it for $527,500 back in February 2014. Since then, the 2,150-square-foot abode has seen some significant changes (compare the current listing photos below with photos from the last time Curbed Atlanta wrote about the property). The renovation kept many of the home's charming architectural details but did away with dated finishes, flooring choices and lighting fixtures — although those cheap-looking paper lantern lights in the main room could probably still go. Today, it asks $749,000. The granite stone wall running through the house, soaring ceilings and updated chef's kitchen are all striking, but the real head-turner is the wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. The 20-foot tall glass walls reveal gorgeous views of the surrounding forest, stream and ravine.
