A couple of blocks south of Piedmont Park on 7th Street, this double-dose of Midtown townhomes is touted as being the "most affordable" modern residences in the area, which is saying something about where the market has gone. Each has three bedrooms, two and ½ bathrooms and is priced at $879,000. True, at least one unsold modern house in the vicinity costs more than $1 million, but even the priciest unit at the 5th & Piedmont townhomes is cheaper at $864,000, with comparable square footage of about 2,450. Maybe the 7th Street duplex takes into account that living there entails no HOA fees? In any case, perks include 10-foot ceilings, private rear yards and front patios, fireplace options and a bonus basement space next to the two-car garage, which appears to be a single-wide arrangement.
