Buckhead Hotel Looks to Continue Dual-Brand Trend

New, 4 comments

For those who love twofers and easy transit access, the announcement of a new hotel in Buckhead has all you could ever want. A hybrid Homewood Suites by Hilton / Hilton Garden Inn will be built just off of Peachtree Road near the Buckhead MARTA Station, reports BuckheadView. It seems that hoteliers increasingly feel that two is better than one in Atlanta, with the latest announcement coming just a few months after Marriott unveiled a similar concept in Midtown.

Plans call for an eight-story hotel to rise on Stratford Road, between Skyhouse Buckhead and the new MARTA bridge over Ga. Highway 400. Designed by Rabun Rasche Rector Reece, the Hilton Garden Inn will have 150 rooms while the Homewood Suites will contain 98 rooms. Additionally, the twin hotels are destined to share 4,500 square feet of dining space and more than 3,000 square feet of meeting space.

This isn't the first time Hilton has combined their two brands in the city. The first project came on 10th Street back in 2011.
