Sounds nice, but the trail's got a lot of work ahead. Released in December 2013, the Atlanta Beltline 2030 Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) set a goal of beginning construction on the Southeast Trail within the next five years. So consider this Visual Journey a "before" glimpse of a Beltline segment that hasn't enjoyed much publicity lately. Long ago, we traipsed the unbuilt Eastside Trail and the segment near Buckhead. And other projects have toured of the long-open Northside Trail and what's happening with the Westside Trail. One of these days, it'll all come together.
