Novare Shocks Buckhead with Addition of Purplish Circles

New, 16 comments

An eagle-eyed tipster sends visual evidence that Novare Group is flipping the script — relatively speaking — with Atlanta's next SkyHouse offering. Twenty-six stories tall and plump with 364 new apartments, SkyHouse Buckhead is scheduled to open next month and is pre-leasing now. As an added incentive, perhaps, the tower will feature fancy purplish lights on the underside of its rooftop wings. Maybe they'll serve no function beyond aesthetics. Maybe they'll change colors. Or maybe they'll strobe like a perpetual Prince concert in the sky! Regardless, the design elements signal a change of pace, relatively speaking. "Who says Novare doesn't do anything different?" the tipster wisecracks.

The Buckhead tower will join intown brethren SkyHouse Midtown and SkyHouse South in a quest for well-paid Atlanta renters. With a motto like "ASCEND to high-rise living," a 24-hour concierge and "two sun-soaked saline pools with amazing skyline views," it's a safe bet SkyHouse Buckhead won't be bolstering Atlanta's affordable housing roster. Early leasing information bears that out: Rents for one-bedroom units start at $1,240, for less than 650 square feet; the largest three-bedroom units will rent for about $3,000. One selling point, as stated on the tower's website, urges potential tenants to, "Amplify your access to transportation with MARTA at your doorstep." Say what you will about aesthetic monotony, but that kind of talk is commendable.
