Sandy Springs may have snatched the corporate headquarters of a global automobile titan from the clutches of New Jersey, but the move has left an exquisite 1929 mansion in limbo. Mercedes-Benz USA plans to build a 250,000-square-foot office building on a 12-acre slice of the historic Glenridge Hall property — but on the opposite side of Abernathy Road from the site's namesake mansion, the AJC reports. Still, the fate of the mansion is unknown, as developer Ashton Woods Homes is buying the entire 76-acre property, with plans to develop a residential and retail project.
