Sweet Rebirth

New, 3 comments

A new playground and two new apartments may seem like trivial additions to an urban neighborhood, but they mark a small step forward in the bigger rebirth of historic Sweet Auburn, posits Atlanta magazine. The playground will be shared by the MLK National Park and Hope-Hill Elementary School, while the apartments — renting at $1,950 each — are part of the refurbished Atlanta Daily World building. Together, the projects (both along the Atlanta Streetcar line) signify a neighborhood on the rise. [Image: Gene Kansas]
