In what could be a ray of hope, the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation has selected 45 nonprofit organizations to receive leadership, networking and governance training over the course of the next three years. As part of the Westside Momentum project, the intention is to support the groups in the revitalization efforts of Castleberry Hill, English Avenue and Vine City, which sit in the shadow of the rising shrine to Blank's team. While throwing money at the situation has been ineffective over the years, this new approach could support already existing grassroots efforts to help clean up the struggling communities and further boost Castleberry's prospects.
