Ad-lanta Possibilities

New, 1 comment

A proposal by the Mayor's Office of Innovation Delivery and Performance has come up with creative ideas to paint the town, and in the process make a quick buck. ArtsATL reports that, in an effort to raise funds toward meeting a $900 million infrastructure backlog, the city is exploring options for corporate-sponsored initiatives such as digital advertisement kiosks and LED installations (think the Empire State Building) to make the city glow. The proposals hope to raise the bottom line while simultaneously beautifying Atlanta, though some fear it could turn the city into a giant billboard. [Image: Swide.]
