Freedom Parkway is going to the dogs with the construction of a 1.4-acre dog park funded through a Kickstarter campaign, according to Atlanta INtown. After a contribution of $10,000, Freedom Barkway, as it will be known, should open later this month. At first the park will merely provide fenced spaces for leash-less large and small dogs — at Highland Avenue and Boulevard — but eventually could include seating, splash pads and other canine-friendly amenities.
