Festive Gatherings

Spring has arrived, painting the town yellow and bringing along its friends intermittent, oppressive heat and occasional torrential downpours. Before summer sets in, Atlantans will have the chance to enjoy spurts of incomprehensibly pleasant weather. In celebration, the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition will be hosting the first Streets Alive event of the year this Sunday, April 19, in West End, closing 3.5 miles of roads, giving urban dwellers a chance to play in the street — and perhaps to check out a new neighborhood. It'll be the last Streets Alive, unfortunately, until September. Womp womp. [News and image: Atlanta INtown.]
