Pedaling Nonsense

Braves executive — and endless fount of wisdom — Mike Plant has devised a way to alleviate traffic around SunTrust Park, proposing that fans consider "new" alternative forms of transportation, like bikes. Yes, folks, bikes are the Braves' solution to traffic congestion for building a stadium where there is no public transit access, few sidewalks and no bike lanes on major arterial roads, reports the Marietta Daily Journal. Plant is now calling on local Community Improvement Districts to build bike trails connecting neighborhoods across the North-end Perimeter with the stadium, having enough sense to recognize that biking on I-285, even when it's gridlocked, is a bad idea.
