$329K Throwback is Like a Tri-Level Cocktail Party

New, 16 comments

Here's one instance of "THIS WILL NOT LAST!" broker babble being warranted. This swingin' midcentury specimen from 1960 went under contract in less than a week, but it's worth a gander anyhow. Priced at $329,900 and a hair shy of 2,000 square feet, this four-bedroom pad is tucked in the Northcrest subdivision of Doraville, a sizzling little hot zone of midcentury marvels next door to Spaghetti Junction. It was whacked by a tree a couple of years ago, but has bounced back nicely with a total renovation across all three levels that spared the skylights, funky floor plan and vaulted, tongue-and-groove ceilings. The hand-distressed pine floors are a lovely perk, but even carpet haters probably won't mind the softer stuff downstairs. Unusual bonuses: the front-facing sunroom and a separate guesthouse with a studio. The pool ain't shabby, either.
