Blocks from Piedmont Park, Suburban-y Townhome Surprises

New, 5 comments

From the street, few buyers would expect that this Midtown property is home to Carrara marble, top-flight Miele appliances and a range hood that looks fit for a NASA space shuttle. But that would be stereotyping, now wouldn't it? While the exterior might evoke the anti-charms of Kennesaw cul-de-sacs — unassuming to the point of invisibility, that is — the interior tends to dazzle and/or shock, following a contemporary-style enema in 2007. No one would describe these 1,868 square feet as sprawling, but the renovation seems to have maximized every inch. (It was built in 1979, after all, when people were smaller.) It manages to offer four bedrooms and two and ½ bathrooms in Midtown for $499,000. That roominess trumps many more expensive condos in the area, without sacrificing walkability; Piedmont Park is precisely four blocks away, bolstering the dynamite Walk Score of 86. Another bonus is the affordable HOA fee: $0.
