Redevelopment Du Jour

A 31-acre gash of asphalt near the Beltline's Westside Trail and Turner Field could soon see signs of life, Creative Loafing reports. The Annie E. Casey Foundation — a charitable organization that owns this weedy eyesore next to The Connector — has tried for nearly a decade to transform it. Amidst a resurgent economy, they hope negotiations with a developer will begin this month to bring "high-quality jobs to the area through a healthy mix of industrial and non-industrial companies of different sizes."
