Ponce City Market's dreams of being the "shopping and dining destination of the summer" are being dashed, as the Old Fourth Ward mega-redevelopment has pushed back the launch of its food court and other retail offerings until the fall, at earliest, 11Alive reports. PCM officials still expect major tenants like West Elm and Anthropologie to open this summer, and they recently unveiled another wave of future retailers that includes a yoga studio, an optical boutique and clothiers for men and women. Officials also noted that 2,000 residents and office employees already inhabit PCM, emphasizing that with "the nature of development and construction, especially with a project of this size and scope, initial schedules continue to shift as concepts evolve and take shape."
