According to a recent ranking by Travel + Leisure magazine, Atlanta is the ninth "Most Cultured" city in the country, making us the proverbial bologna between the sandwich bread of Minneapolis (No. 8) and Chicago (10). Our peachy Southern hub scores huge points for the High Museum — the Southeast's largest art museum — Castleberry Hill's galleries and even the scrumptious fried chicken at Paschal's. But the cultural countdown could have lost credence when it slotted Kansas City in fourth place and Providence the overall runner-up to NYC. [High Museum photo: Wikimedia Commons]
