Set back from Peachtree Street, across the street from the High Museum, the lovely and historic Reid House is an oft-overlooked landmark that's home to some seriously regal condos. This two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit, listed this past weekend for $525,000, certainly qualifies as such, which might help atone for its shortcomings. The listing agent bills this as a "rare opportunity," being that only 40 units exist in this 1924 relic built by — you guessed it — famed Atlanta architect Neel Reid. Among these 1,685 square feet we find living and dining rooms befitting nice standalone houses, built-ins for days, a sunroom that's literally sun-filled and heaps of classic modernism. The electric-stove-having kitchen could be a bit tight for some buyers, though. And the unit has easy access to the building's tennis court and patio but doesn't appear to have an outdoor space of its own. It sold for substantially less ($450,000) two years ago, but we're told the kitchen is new, and that was basically a different world back then.
