In the competition to redevelop the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center into something that isn't so tired, only two legitimate contenders — with vastly different ideas — remain standing, Bisnow reports. In one corner, Weingarten Realty Investors (an outfit from Texas who has joined forces with Jamestown Properties in the past) reportedly has a more traditional, urban mixed-use redo in mind for the Civic Center's 858,000 square feet and surrounding land. In the other corner stands a consortium that includes funnyman Steve Harvey and Massachusetts-based UnReel Studios; they're leaning more toward a film studio campus for the massive intown site.
