Undead Foreclosures

While Grantville — home of The Walking Dead — may no longer be for sale, another type of undead property can still be procured around the metro, but maybe not for long. The number of so-called "zombie" foreclosures, a byproduct of the recession, has dropped by a staggering 33 percent in Atlanta since last year, according to a study by RealtyTrac. Today, 28 percent of metro foreclosures, just 1,285 in total, are considered owner-vacated zombies, which is probably good for the overall economy but not for deal-seekers. [Image: SB Nation]
