In a study that could enrage local parents, WalletHub has ranked Atlanta the country's 15th worst city for families, based on "30 key metrics" the personal finance site examined in America's 150 most populated cities. Atlanta landed at No. 136, between Providence and Little Rock (but higher than bottom-feeders Washington DC, New Orleans and Miami). Per the website's research, Atlanta didn't score too high in any category of "essential family dynamics," but these areas were particularly hurtful: percentage of families with kids (rank: 129th), divorce rate (130th), and violent crime rate (131st).
