A proposed 1000-foot extension of Moores Mill Road in northwest Atlanta has been approved by the city council, but according to BuckheadView, the process was anything but straightforward. Never ones to make the process easy, it took two votes, five hours and lots of politicking for the council to make the deal happen, paving the way for Publix to lay claim to an area that's been called a food desert. But what many hoped would be the end of a years-long saga might just be the beginning, with the threat of lawsuits and a mayoral veto coming down the pike. [Image: Google Maps]
