This $850K Midcentury Complex is Rather Astounding

New, 9 comments

Atlanta houses rarely take advantage of their locations as well as this midcentury relic in Buckhead. Buried in a hardwood forest, with views of endless verdure, decks that wrap trees and more terraces than an Ewok village, this four-bedroom, four-bathroom complex from 1965 quite literally embraces its surroundings. The listing takes a fresh route toward FLW name-dropping, saying the "glorious" property merely evokes "Frank Lloyd Wright dynamics." With new hardwoods and a top-flight fridge and such, the interior has been sufficiently updated, but in places the exterior seems to need similar tugs into the 21st Century (or at least fresh paint and a pressure-washing). You'll find this unique old nest just west of Interstate 75 on Moores Mill Road, with a sticker price of $850,000.
