This week, Creative Loafing's annual Music Issue examines the ongoing friction between Atlanta's eclectic, vibrant music scene and big-money development, calling attention to neighborhoods across this "city in flux" from Lakewood Heights to Old Fourth Ward. The package includes a lament for Thunderbox Studios at the cusp of Historic Fourth Ward Park, a "music incubator (and) community (where) connections were made and music grew." A mixed-use project by North American Properties will replace the studio building, which CL calls "a stinging loss in an ongoing culture war." [Base image via Thunderbox Studios Twitter page.]
