The wrecking ball may loom for one of Buckhead's first multifamily developments, a 1961 complex near Lenox Square called Metropolitan at Buckhead, Bisnow reports. The 431-unit, low-rise relic was built when Buckhead was considered a suburb, and its current denizens are getting a relative deal with rents around $1 per square foot. But with a MARTA station nearby, the property is asking more than $50 million, and its sellers think two buildings could be razed in favor of a 350-unit, mid-rise tower. [Photo:]
