Downtown Decatur is in the midst of a multifamily development craze. To document the changes, we dropped by three of the largest ongoing projects, which are in various states of existence: The Place on Ponce, Alexan Decatur and The Project Formerly Known as Trinity Triangle Whose New Name Sounds Like Either Your Uncle Or Your Dog. These three projects alone will infuse downtown Decatur — already considered one of metro Atlanta's most walkable areas — with roughly 600 new apartments and enough retail space to fit several shops and eateries. It's a safe bet they'll also bring more gosh-darn car traffic, but just maybe the foot traffic will be worth it.
