Renters Week 2015

New, 2 comments

A report by MarketWatch indicates the collective nickname of millennials — "Generation Rent" — could be valid and that the reasoning for not buying homes is different in the South than elsewhere. Far more people between the ages of 25 and 34 are choosing to rent nowadays (38 percent of millennials owned homes in 2012) as compared to 1980 (52 percent). One survey suggests the reasons for that dip vary from region to region, and that in the Dirty Dirty, concern over low credit scores and "not knowing how to start on the house-buying process" are key factors.
