Eager to mollify the masses, Ponce City Market officials have released a video that updates construction progress at the mixed-use behemoth. Unfortunately, it plays like a 1980s safety video on fast-forward, giving tiny glimpses of really interesting market components across a running-time of just 22 seconds. On a positive note, West Elm officially opens today — followed by Anthropologie and Onward Reserve this weekend — and the market's Central Food Hall lineup is growing every month. The organic (read: agonizingly slow) opening process is understandable, and we can't begin to fathom the logistical (and permitting) delays associated with a project this massive. So these snack-sized glimpses will have to do, for now ...
