It's the 21st century, and we have things like driverless cars and selfie-taking drones; yet when Atlantans want to buy a house, we often have to get off our couches to go see each home in real life. And that can be a drag, like actually talking to people. But Mountainview, California-based, 3D-imaging company Matterport is changing the game, with complete digital walk-throughs of listed properties — it's like Google Street View, but for a new home! While this could be how the movie WALL·E begins, let's just hope it's another tool in the arsenal of prospective homebuyers and not the path to a dystopian society ...
