For buyers who covet homes with that lived-in aura — this is frankly not for you. Rather, this new-build modern on Drexel Avenue, around the corner from downtown Decatur, is a 3,600-square-foot blank palette. At this point, it's less a home than a collection of large, understated rooms with interesting wall angles and window arrangements. With this kind of space, five bedrooms, four and ½ bathrooms and the D-town locale, an asking price of $899,900 is hardly shocking. Some might quibble with the lack of garage, but Decatur's building rules might have precluded that with a home of this size. And depending on your point of view, it either lends a nice variety to the street's residential architecture, or it's wildly out-of-context. Either way, it makes a statement and contributes to a growing stock of contemporary homes in the neighbor.
