It's a Battle of Two Luxurious Atlanta Pools. Which One Wins?

New, 3 comments

It's hot as hell this time of year in Atlanta — and especially this year. Heat indices routinely top 100 degrees, and with the summer sun scorching everything (and everyone), what's better than cooling off in a pool? Sure, public pools get the job done, but if you want to truly relax and unwind in style, it's paramount to have your own palatial pool. Fortunately, for the monied Atlantan looking for a private place to dip their toes, there are some grand pools — located behind some pretty grand houses — all ready to help you beat the heat. With two homes listed in the upper-$3 million price bracket, it's time for you to decide which ridiculously expensive pool is best in today's Real Estate Deathmatch: Luxury Pool Edition!

3170 Arden Rd

For those who like to throw raucous parties, the pool at this behemoth property off West Paces Ferry Road is ready and waiting. While the diving board is alright, for the adventurous sort there's a second-floor balcony perfect for some crazy cannonballs — not that we recommend stuff like that. Sun-worshipers have plenty of space to expose themselves on the large patio surrounding the pool. Finally, when it's time to head inside to escape the heat, there's a massive pool house that's half beachside retreat, half safari. Because nothing says summer fun like a zebra skin rug.

For those who like their summer soirees a bit more refined, the pool at this Mt. Paran mansion is built to please. Surrounded by a lush lawn, the pool is long and narrow — less for crazy partying and more for an intimate dip with a few friends. Or even a late-night, candle-lit rendezvous. Sure, there's no diving board or pool house to be party-central; but after a refreshing dip, there's plenty of space for a game of croquet.
