A few blocks south of Glenwood Park, this overhauled four-bedroom exudes Country Craftsman on the exterior but looks like a top-shelf Castleberry Hill loft inside. That juxtaposition seems to have worked, as agent Johnny Gonzales reports, because the Ormewood Park property just went under contract for $490,000 before it listed (for $10,000 more). If elements of the design are giving you déjà vu, perhaps it's because the developer (True Worth Development) was behind a Reynoldstown flip we spotlighted earlier this year that sold in 48 hours. Key selling points in Ormewood, according to Gonzales, included: the huge kitchen island with Carrara marble waterfall edges, proximity to the Beltline's (eventual) Southeast Trail and the home's Tier 1 status for a local charter school. The buyer, says Gonzales, is a New York City commercial Realtor who's relocating and "knows value and quality and NYC cool when he sees it."
