Adair to Dream

New, 1 comment

The National Pavilion Design Competition hopes to find a Beltline-worthy design for a permanent arts pavilion in Adair Park, along the future Westside Trail. The American Institute of Architects, the Atlanta Beltline and the Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs are sponsoring the contest, which is accepting designs for a "vibrant public space" at the intersection of the Westside Trail and Allene Avenue through September 15. The winning design team will not only have the opportunity to put their mark on Atlanta in the form of a permanent performance space but will also pocket $10,000 in prize money (second and third place winners will score $5,000 and $3,000). Winners will be determined by a jury of architects and local leaders. To the drawing board! [AIA]
