DOWNTOWN — Memphis-based chain Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken just opened its first Atlanta location, sparking celebrations among local yardbird-loving residents. Take a look inside the restaurant during its first lunch service. If the day one crowd is any indication, Gus's is going to be a hit.

VIRGINIA-HIGHLAND — Highland Bakery owner Stacey Eames is planning a new venture that will take over the former Aurora Coffee space. The project has been in the works for a while, but now Eames is ready to share details. In this interview, she gives the scoop on the coffeeshop that will feature some Highland Bakery favorites along with healthier options.

OLD FOURTH WARD — Rock venue/restaurant Venkman's is on track to open next month near Historic Fourth Ward Park. Now, it appears an Atlanta cocktail veteran will run the beverage program. Bradford Tolleson, who has experience at Restaurant Eugene, H. Harper Station, and Pura Vida, is in as bar manager. To give thirsty Atlantans a preview of Venkman's cocktails, Tolleson will be guest bartending at Craft Izakaya this weekend.
