Viewpoint and SkyHouse Sprucing up for New Tenants

New, 9 comments

There's been a flurry of construction activity at 6th and Peachtree streets as the retail spaces of both Viewpoint and SkyHouse South get tricked out in preparation for new tenants. While details on the SkyHouse tenant have been known for ages — Rreal Tacos will bring an authentic taste of Mexico to Midtown — details have been pretty scant on the prime Viewpoint space with frontage on Peachtree Street. City permitting records indicate that national chain Eye Elements is building out Suite 2 for a store, even as building managers the Shopping Center Group still show three suites for lease.

When Viewpoint and SkyHouse were built, a large void was left along 6th Street. With concrete block walls rising on two sides, there seems to be a lot of potential for that space. Sure, Rreal Tacos will take the eastern portion of the land for an outdoor patio, but we can only imagine what's in store for the rest of the area, as the Midtown market continues to boom. Is all the surrounding development indicative of more to come — perhaps a third phase of 855 Peachtree?
