For $798K, Old-School Craftsman is Deceptively Brand New

New, 15 comments

Now here's a Craftsman in Oakhurst that looks like it could've been built a century ago — and just might stand for a couple of centuries more. It's a ground-up new build that incorporates stained glass, a stone porch and old-school wooden doors, achieving what the agent calls a "historically inspired" and "matchless" aesthetic that costs a cool $798,000. It stands near the Kirkwood border, just south of the East Lake MARTA station and few blocks from the Oakhurst Village. Few corners were cut across these 2,740 square feet, with a screened back porch, sweet build-out in the master closet (is that a built-in bench?) and marble all over the master bathroom. As usual these days, in this part of town, a garage is not part of the deal. On the bright side, the listing could mark the first time "stunning" and "carport" have been used next to each other in a sentence.
