$375K Condo Touts Beltline Proximity, Floridian Sunsets

Spanning four stories, this open-concept, industrial-style loft with direct access to the Beltline's Eastside Trail was built in 2001 but could probably pass for something much older. That could go a long way for the adaptive-reuse junkies that Atlantans have (thankfully) become, so long as they dig the motif of concrete floors, exposed ductwork and factory-style beams. The facts: This recently updated unit has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, 1,500 square feet and a price tag of $374,900. Only a couple of years ago, similar-sized units here could be had for deep down into the $200,000s, but such is the cyclical life of real estate. Exceptional aspects include the private rooftop deck and the large, included storage space. But the Walk Score, for now, is a rather confounding 66, which is lower on the walkability meter than many tucked-away houses. Is the distance to Kroger, a MARTA station or the shoddy Ralph-McGill-Boulevard-to-Beltline connection holding it back now? Or is the only walk that really matters the one to the rooftop?
