Mercedes-Benz Hopes to Nail Extra Points with Stadium

It's official: The Falcons' new cyborg origami will be christened "Mercedes-Benz Stadium" as part of the "largest marketing deal in Mercedes-Benz history," according to the German carmaker's president and CEO Steve Cannon. And WSBTV reports that Mercedes is hoping to impact more than the stadium with its multi-million-dollar deal. By partnering with the Arthur Blank Foundation, Mercedes hopes to make a difference in the surrounding struggling neighborhoods and possibly help set a precedent for sports venues as good neighbors. Amazingly, the naming deal is said to run for 27 years, which all Atlantan's know is optimistic given how long our other stadia have lasted.
