The grand vision to turn the Sweetwater Design District into a commercial office complex with an emphasis on beer, biking and collaboration is moving forward. Local real estate developer Third and Urban has filed plans to transform the first of several warehouse buildings in the planned Armour Yards complex — a 44,000-square-foot structure on Ottley Drive (see above) — into offices, reports What Now Atlanta. Overall, Armour Yards' first phase could include 150,000 square feet of office space — and double that amount when the whole shebang is finished. Officials speculate that Armour Yards could also offer a coffeehouse, live music venue, restaurant, fitness studio, bike rentals and jogging trails. Find more renderings for large-scale warehouse overhauls and present-day glimpses of the district after the jump.
