Once again, Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has retained the coveted title of "world's busiest airport," trouncing sleepy Beijing by some 10 million passengers in 2014, according to Airports Council International. While many consider Hartsfield-Jackson's busyness to be a massive pain, the "world's busiest" crown "has become a coveted position that allows a city to crow about its attractiveness to visitors," reports The Hill, a Washington DC-based political website. But lest ATL rest on its laurels … the gulf between Beijing's total passengers (86 million) and Hartsfield-Jackson's (96 million) has closed significantly (700,000 passengers) since we last trounced them in 2013.
