Management: Prominent Midtown Condos Won't be Razed

New, 16 comments

The insatiable wave of high-rise development on Peachtree Street in Midtown is fueling rumors that the end may be near for a currently occupied condo building in the heart of the neighborhood. A tipster reports that Cornerstone Village could be making moves to demo the 1927-vintage building at the corner of Peachtree and 5th streets, currently home to about 80 units and Escorpian restaurant, to allow for the construction of something else. "A major HOA meeting is scheduled for Wednesday," says the concerned informant. However, building managers vehemently denied the allegations in an email to Curbed, saying, "We are not planning to demolish any area of the property."
